App Privacy Policy

Welcome to KShare ("we", "our", or "us"). KShare is a mobile application available on the Google Play Store that lets users explore, discover, and share AI prompts and ideas across various categories.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our application. By downloading or using KShare, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Your name, email address, or any personal registration data
• Your location or GPS data
• Camera, microphone, or contacts data
• Any financial or payment information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Content Delivery: To fetch and display prompts, categories, and related content from our API server.
• App Personalization: To remember your theme preference (light/dark mode) locally on your device.
• Advertising: To display relevant ads through Google AdMob to support the free availability of the app.
• App Configuration: To dynamically configure the app (e.g., base URL, feature toggles) using Firebase Remote Config.
• Analytics & Crash Reporting: To monitor app stability and improve performance via Firebase services.
• Security: To generate and store an anonymous session identifier (UUID) for API security purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

Local Storage: User preferences (theme mode, anonymous session token) are stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device unless explicitly required by the app's functionality.

Server Communication: All communications with our API server are made over HTTPS where available. API requests include an anonymous application token for security purposes.

No Persistent Account Data: KShare does not require account registration. No personally identifiable information is stored on our servers.

Security Measures: We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect any data processed through the application, including encrypted connections and secure configuration management via Firebase.

6. Advertising

KShare uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID to show personalized ads based on your interests.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

• Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• You can also reset your Advertising ID from the same settings menu.

Ads displayed in KShare comply with Google AdMob's policies.

7. Internet / Network Access

KShare requires an active internet connection to function. This is used to:

• Fetch prompts, categories, and app content from our API server.
• Load images and media content associated with prompts.
• Retrieve dynamic configuration from Firebase Remote Config.
• Display advertisements via Google AdMob.
• Open external web links using the device browser (via URL Launcher).

The application requests only the android.permission.INTERNET permission, which is required for all of the above functionalities.

8. Children's Privacy

KShare is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the email address listed below, and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access & Portability: Request a copy of any personal data we have collected about you.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data. Since KShare does not store personal accounts, most data can be cleared by uninstalling the application.
• Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can opt out of personalized advertising via your device's advertising settings (see Section 6).
• Clear Local Data: Clear locally stored preferences by going to Android Settings → Apps → KShare → Storage → Clear Data.

10. Data Retention

KShare retains data only for as long as necessary:

• Local preferences are retained until the app is uninstalled or data is manually cleared.
• Anonymous session tokens (UUID) persists locally and resets each time the app data is cleared.
• Firebase & AdMob data is retained per the respective Google service policies linked in Section 4.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
• Post the updated policy at the same URL used in the Google Play Store listing.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
