NIELIT Scientist-B & STA ‘A’ Selection Process 2020

All eligible candidates who have successfully submitted the online application for Scientist-‘B’ and Scientific/Technical Assistant -A along with the required fee will start preparing for the written examination as the officials will be announcing the examination date soon.

The Selections will be done by giving a written examination and interview for Scientist – B Post and Only the written examination for Scientific/Technical Assistant -A Post.

Every question will carry 1(one) mark and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.

The minimum percentage to qualify the written examination will be 50% for General/EWS, 40% for OBC, 30% for the SC/ST/PWD categories

NIELIT Scientist B Exam Pattern

The NIC officials will conduct the NIC NIELIT Scientist B Exam on 07.11.2020. The NIELIT Scientist Exam consists of two sections i.e., Section A contains questions based on Generic which is 35%, and Section B is based on Technical Questions which is 65%. The NIELIT Scientist Exam 2020 contains 120 Objective Type Questions i.e. 78 questions are from Technical Area (Computer Science) and 42 Questions from Generic Area.

The Questions from Generic comes from the Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Capabilities, Quantitative and Qualitative abilities, and General Aptitude. The Technical Area covers Computer Science / Computer Engineering topics. In the NIC Scientist Exam, each question carries 1 mark and 0.25 negative marks for each wrong answer. Both the sections in the Scientist B Exam contain 120 Questions and the duration of the Exam is 03 hours.
